A MANDRIA DI MURTOLI

A Mandria di Murtoli is a discreet five-star retreat in the Ortolo Valley near Sartène, set among olive trees, citrus groves, Corsican maquis and restored rural buildings. The property is arranged like a small Mediterranean hamlet, with ten rooms and suites occupying a main house, former shepherds’ huts, a barn and a converted stable. Interiors combine exposed stone, timber, terracotta and contemporary comforts, while three of the suites include private pools. A large shared pool, concierge service, private parking, a bar and room service keep the stay easygoing without diluting its sense of seclusion. The intimate restaurant serves Italian-inspired cooking for around thirty guests, using produce from the Murtoli estate and local territory. Guests can also access selected restaurants and services at the nearby Domaine de Murtoli, while the surrounding region offers beaches, walking trails and the landscapes between Sartène and Bonifacio.
