Alila Dong Ao Island Zhuhai

Set on Dong’ao Island, this all-suite clifftop retreat looks out over the South China Sea and keeps the drama outside while the interiors stay calm and deliberate. Alila Dong’ao Island Zhuhai is built around space, light and a strong sense of place: 103 suites, many with sea views, private courtyards, balconies or plunge pools. The resort leans into wellness with Spa Alila, a 24-hour gym, yoga and meditation, and a cliff-edge infinity pool. Dining follows the coastline too, with Cantonese and seafood-driven menus shaped by local produce. It is a polished escape for travellers who want scenery, design and quiet rather than noise.
