BonGolf Hotel is being redeveloped as part of a large golf and wellness resort in Mont-roig del Camp, on Catalonia’s Costa Daurada. The setting combines Mediterranean landscapes, nearby beaches, wooded hills and an 18-hole course originally designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The hotel project is planned as a five-star luxury property with 136 renovated rooms, alongside 24 branded residences intended for longer stays with hotel services. The wider scheme includes a renewed golf course, sports facilities and sustainability measures such as regenerated water for irrigation and on-site solar power. BonGolf is best understood as a resort in transition rather than an established hotel: its identity is tied to the revival of the former Bonmont development, with a quieter, open-air atmosphere shaped by golf, landscape and the gradual return of hospitality to the site.
