Experimental Chalet Val d'Isère
Val-d'Isère, France · December 2024

Set in Val d’Isère in the Haute-Tarentaise, Experimental Chalet is a 4-star base for the Espace Killy slopes, with a clear focus on winter comfort and après-ski culture. The hotel has 113 rooms and suites oriented to mountain views, with a Savoyard nod in the materials: warm timber, bouclette fabrics, snow-white marble and subtle ski motifs. Dining splits between L’Aigle d’Or, a brasserie-style room warmed by a fireplace and wood panelling, and L’Aiglon, a cosier address built around Savoie cheeses in raclette, tartiflette and fondue, sourced from local producers. The on-site Experimental Cocktail Club brings the brand’s signature mixology, with snacks served throughout the day. After the lifts, guests have access to an indoor pool, sauna, steam room and treatment rooms, plus flexible meeting spaces for small events.
