Experimental Roma is a forthcoming 5-star hotel in Rome’s Ludovisi district, set close to the city’s grand avenues, Villa Borghese and the historic centre. Scheduled to open in summer 2026, it occupies a former bank reimagined by interior architect Rodolphe Parente, with 82 rooms and suites shaped around contrasts of Roman heritage, texture and contemporary design. The mood is cinematic without losing its urban practicality: a polished base for days spent between museums, gardens and late dinners. Dining is led by Roman-born chef Giovanni Passerini, whose restaurant brings a modern eye to local cooking, while the Experimental Cocktail Club adds a more nocturnal note. Above the city, the rooftop bar and suspended swimming pool offer open-air views across Rome’s skyline, giving the hotel a distinctive resort-like pause in the capital.
