Few & Far Luvhondo is a remote lodge near Waterpoort in South Africa’s Limpopo province, set high in the biodiverse Soutpansberg mountains. The feel is contemporary safari with a strong conservation backbone: privately guided drives and walks share the reserve’s rewilding work, while evenings tend toward boma fires, stargazing and quiet mountain air. Accommodation comes as tented Cliff Suites positioned for valley views, each with a king bed, a deep deck, bath, outdoor shower, and a hot tub/plunge pool for cooling down after the heat. Dining is all-inclusive and farm-to-table in approach, shifting between a fine-dining restaurant, braai, bush picnics and cookout breakfasts, with in-room options when you want to stay put. There’s a swimming pool, Wi‑Fi in the main guest area, cultural performances, mountain biking and birdwatching; an aerial, solar-powered cable car experience is scheduled to open in May 2025. Access is by car, charter flight to a private airstrip, or the weekly Rovos Rail service.
