Hôtel Balzac Paris & Spa Ikoï
Paris, France · June 2024

Just off the Champs-Élysées, Hôtel Balzac Paris & Spa Ikoï is a discreet, history-tinged address rebuilt through a full renovation by Festen Architecture, with the feel of a private residence tucked into the 8th arrondissement. The 58 rooms and suites lean into a polished 1930s spirit—clean lines, considered lighting, and tactile materials such as wood, velvet, and natural stone—designed as calm cocoons after the city’s pace. Some rooms look toward the Eiffel Tower, and the two top-floor suites add high terraces above the rooftops. Under a glass roof, the lounge works as an all-day meeting point for lunch, a pause between boutiques, or a quiet conversation, with a bar set slightly apart for later hours. The Ikoi Spa brings a Japanese-inspired, holistic approach with treatments and massages on tables or tatami mats, complemented by a pool, sauna, and a modern fitness room.
