Hotel Wren

Hotel Wren is an adults-only, 12-room desert retreat in Twentynine Palms, positioned near the north entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. The property reworks a 1940s roadside motel into a compact, design-led base for exploring the High Mojave, with individually styled rooms, private patios and a deliberately unhurried atmosphere. Guest rooms are arranged for longer pauses as well as overnight stops, with kitchenettes that include induction cooktops, mini-fridges, toaster ovens and cooking essentials; televisions and in-room phones are intentionally absent. Selected rooms are pet-friendly, while the accessible Queen Double includes a roll-in shower. The grounds include an outdoor pool, hot tub and quiet communal areas, and Windsong, the on-site provisions shop, carries pantry goods and objects from independent makers. It is a thoughtful place to come back to after a day among Joshua Tree’s rock formations and open desert roads.
