NIHI Rote
Rote Island, Indonesia · May 2024

NIHI Rote sits on the white sand of Bo’a Beach on Rote Island, at Indonesia’s far south-eastern edge, where the Indian Ocean feels close and the landscape is still raw. The resort is intimate in scale, with 21 thatched pool villas and duplex estates shaped by Rotenese materials, open-air living, private pools and broad views toward the Bo’a Barrel surf break. Dining follows the island: seafood, local harvests and relaxed meals at Nammo Beach Club, by the villa pool or on the sand. The Spa Sanctuary is set in a quiet garden, while days can move from surfing and reef exploration to paddleboarding, cycling or simply watching the tide turn. A distinctive part of the stay is the Rote Hospitality Academy, integrated into the resort and training young local talent in a visible, human way.
