Palais Coburg
Wien, Austria · Independent · August 2026

Palais Coburg occupies a 19th-century palace above the remains of Vienna’s former city fortifications, placing guests in the historic centre between the Ringstrasse and St Stephen’s Cathedral. The property is presented as a private guesthouse rather than a conventional large hotel, with 36 individually designed suites arranged in Royal, Classic and Modern styles. Interiors balance neoclassical architecture, historic references and contemporary comfort, while duplex and multi-bedroom options provide a more residential feel. Dining is central to the experience, with the Silvio Nickol restaurant and Clementine in the Glashaus complemented by an extensive collection of rare wines. Six wine cellars hold more than 60,000 bottles, and the house also offers a spa, pool, garden, historic state rooms and event spaces. The atmosphere is discreet, intimate and distinctly Viennese, with the palace’s layered history always close at hand.
