RAN BAAS The Palace
Patiala, India · THE Park Collection · January 2025

RAN BAAS The Palace occupies a restored 18th-century wing of Qila Mubarak in the old heart of Patiala, bringing a former royal setting back into the life of the city. The 35-suite hotel is shaped around heritage architecture and contemporary comforts, with room categories ranging from Junior Suites to a Presidential Suite. Interiors draw on Punjab’s decorative traditions, while modern in-room features keep the stay practical rather than museum-like. Neel serves all-day dining in a space inspired by the royal family’s hunting traditions, and The Patiala bar is the place for a late drink, including the city’s famous measure. Guests also have access to Aura Spa, a gym and pool, while palace courtyards, baithak-style spaces and banqueting areas make the property well suited to unhurried stays, celebrations and an immersive introduction to Patiala.
