The Companion Vienna

The Companion Vienna is a 138-room lifestyle hotel beside Vienna Westbahnhof, positioned between the lively districts of Neubau, Mariahilf and Rudolfsheim. Opened in March 2026, it occupies a reworked Gründerzeit building where preserved architectural details meet a contemporary interior shaped by bold colours, natural stone, herringbone parquet and carefully judged lighting. Rooms range from compact solo spaces to larger categories with balconies, courtyard outlooks or a two-level suite, while all include modern bathrooms and practical in-room comforts. The social heart of the property is Boca, a Mediterranean restaurant designed for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with dishes intended for sharing and a welcome extended to local diners. Bar Calypso adds a darker, more nocturnal Viennese mood, with red velvet, subdued lighting and a drinks-led atmosphere. With the underground, tram network and railway connections virtually outside the door, the hotel is built for travellers who prefer to step straight into the city rather than retreat from it.
