Set in Bardstown, Kentucky—often billed as the “Bourbon Capital of the World”—The Trail Hotel is a bourbon-centric boutique stay designed as a comfortable base for distillery days and late-night pours. The property has 95 guest rooms, including eight bourbon-themed suites, with an atmosphere that leans nostalgic while keeping the finishes modern. Dining anchors at Oak & Ember, which nods to Kentucky culinary traditions, while the hotel’s bar program extends from poolside service to The Bourbon Vault, a speakeasy-style room hidden off the lobby behind an art-concealed entrance, with seating for 36 (access is fee-based). Warm-weather hours revolve around the seasonal Swim Club Bar, outdoor fire pits and Adirondack seating in “Bourbon Alley,” and a whirlpool by the pool. Off-duty diversions include the Bourbon & Bunkers golf simulator with a private bar, and a wellness-focused Rejuvenation Room offering sauna, cryotherapy, an oxygen bar, and IV therapy.
