Ubuyu, A Banyan Tree Escape is a secluded safari retreat in Tanzania’s Ruaha National Park, in the wider Iringa region, where open savannah, miombo woodland and the Great Ruaha River shape the stay. The property is conceived as a small-scale, eco-minded lodge, with one-, two- and three-bedroom villas set low in the landscape and influenced by Maasai circular forms. Natural materials, local craft details, outdoor showers, generous decks and private plunge or infinity pools keep the focus on light, river views and passing wildlife. Dining centres on a communal Open Kitchen with a plant-forward, low-waste approach, complemented by the Living Room and Mganga Bar for relaxed evenings above the bush. A riverbank spa, guided safari experiences, private game vehicles and dedicated Escape Hosts give the retreat a quiet, highly tailored rhythm.
